Motivate people to get rid of drug addiction:-An extension lecture on the subject of de-addiction was organized by Youth Red Cross and National Service Scheme under the chairmanship of Principal Dr. Giani Devi at Guru Brahmanand Girls College, Anjanthali. SI Dr. Ashok Kumar Verma from Haryana Stat Narcotics Control Bureau participated as the keynote speaker.Dr. Verma made the students aware of the harms caused by drugs through PPT. He told that according to WHO, every year around 70 lakh people across the world die due to tobacco. In India this number is 17 lakh people every year. He said that countries like China and Pakistan are conspiring from across the border to hollow out
India through drugs. They told Dr. Ashok Verma making students aware about drug
addiction. Awakening That now our women are not only becoming addicted to drugs but are also
involved in drug smuggling. He said that the goal of de- addiction can be achieved only when
we all personally pledge to stay away from drugs. You will also inspire your family and close people to stay away from drugs.
