
Nilokheri MLA Bhagwan Das Kabirpanthi attended the eighth two-day sports competition and annual prize distribution ceremony at Guru Brahmanand Girls College, Anjanthali as the chief guest. Management Committee head Chaudhary Rishipal, senior vice head Chaudhary Roshanlal, vice head Chaudhary Ramesh Kumar, general secretary Chaudhary Mahavir Kaul, treasurer Chaudhary Subhash Chandra, acting principal Dr. Usharani and school principal Mukta Agarwal welcomed the chief guest. Following the Indian tradition, students Kajal and Priyanka, Simran Annu welcomed the guest by applying tilak. The chief guest inaugurated the program by lighting the lamp. In his address, Kabirpanthi ji said that this college is imparting values along with education. The government is also committed to the education of daughters and is constantly trying to ensure that daughters can get higher education near their homes. He also promised to approve a stadium and sports nursery for the college soon. Competitions like 100 meter race final, 400 meter relay race and matki race were held. Along with this Entertaining competitions like 100 meter race of female teachers and musical chair of female teachers and management committee were held.The responsibility of stage management and running commentary was taken up by Assistant Professor of English Dr. Pinky Kadian. All the competitions were conducted under the Physical Education Programme.It was held under the supervision of Assistant Professor Multan Singh. The results of the competitions were as follows-In 100 meter race Aarti BA 1st year got first place, Muskan BA 3rd year got second place and Kismat BSc got third place. In Matki race Nisha BA 2nd year got first place,Aarti BA 1st Year secured second position, and Muskan BA 3rd Year secured third position. Shri Kabirpanthi honoured all the winners by presenting them medals. In the staff's 100-meter race, Ritu Clerk secured first position, Shivani Assistant Professor second, and Sushma Assistant Professor third. Assistant Professor Komal Deendayal won in Musical Chair, and Chou Jasmer from the Management Committee secured second position. Aarti BA 1st Year was declared the best athlete. Jyoti BA 3rd Year was declared Student of the Year, Ritika BA 2nd Year was declared Best Library User, and Palak BA 3rd Year was declared Best NSS Volunteer.
